Skylit Rooftop Restaurant !

I visited the recently launched roof top restaurant Skylit at Citrus Hotels. The restaurant is located at the heart of the city with an open kitchen where we serve kebabs & continentals grills and barbeques from all over the world  from platter to plate. Besides kebabs the meal comprises of a buffet with gravy dishes, biryanis seasonal, vegetables, Indian breads, salads and delicious desserts. A Few of the star dishes are Cheesy Polenta, Herb Crusted Squids, Caramel Custard, Green Tea Cheese Cake, Chicken Armenian, Cottage Cheese Shaslik and much more.

 The Ambiance is quite lovely and romantic! Its also perfect for party with friends and family!

Besides kebabs the meal comprises of a buffet with rare gravy dishes, biryanis seasonal, vegetables, Indian breads, salads and delicious dessert buffet.

Baisakhi @ JW Marriott

Chef Jolly invited us to the exclusive showcase of the rich culinary heritage of Punjab on the festive occasion of Baisakhi! It was a wonderful evening with all like minded people with their love for food and some good chat with chef Jolly! We got to learn a lot about authentic Punjabi food and Amritsar!
Trust me, it was not the regular Punjabi food we tasted there! It was something really different from the regular!

Shikanji- wich is a mix of mint and roohafza!
Til, Pudina Malai Paneer Tikka, is sesame crusted cottage cheese kebabs, marinated in stone ground- mint, green chillies and green mango relish, tandoor roasted.
Makkai tey Kalonji di Seekh, is charcoal grilled skewers of harvest’s green gram, young corn kernel and nigella seeds.
Maa Di Daal was simply awesome!
Amritsari Kulche melted in my mouth!
Rajma kabobs were simple and elegant!

Kathal ka Achaar is Indian gooseberries, young jack fruit & green mango pre-tempered in mustard oil with nigella seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, whole red chillies and then cooked in Vinegar!

Easter Sunday Brunch by Crowne Plaza!

The stylish contemporary 24@43 restaurant from Crowne Plaza hosted the Easter Sunday Brunch from 12 noon on 5th April, to celebrate the true spirit of Easter Sunday with Bangaloreans.

The brunch designed to ensure the finest of Easter spreads, featured stars such as roasted carved Turkey, chicken, smoked tuna, Lamb ragu with red wine sauce, vegetarian pot pie, Baked Scalloped Potatoes with Herbs and much more. This Easter brunch offered the perfect ambiance and an opulent spread turning a day for festivity into a very memorable one for all, old and young.

And to make the memories even sweeter, there were time-honored desserts including Pineapple Jalousie, Caramelized pineapple Panacotta, Mimosa cheesecake, Lemon Meringue tart, hot cross buns, chocolate eggs and walnut tart to name a few. Along with surprise activities for kids in the form of face painting, treasure hunts, a bouncing castle among others.

The guests agreed there could not have been a better way to break their lent and spend the day with their family with all going back with memories to last for a very long time.

The Eggs with a nest were chocolate truffles!The array of desserts greeted me more than the main course!

These were some veggies which caught my eyes! Roasted Beet and Turnip with Parsley, Potato Forestiere, Aloo Hari Mirch Masala, Bagara Baingan!
Assorted Breads, Papads,Paneer Tikka and Deep fried bajiyas !

There was a special Kids menu along with many activities like Tattoo, Caricature, Mini Golf and many more which kept the kids occupied! They also had Egg hunt and got surprise gifts which was fun!
Some live music and Sangria made a perfect and relaxed Sunday Brunch!!
